Personnel Management is that part of the management process which is primarily concerned with the human constituents of an organisation. Personnel management includes developing and implementing policies and processes to create an orderly employee-supportive working environment.

This course comprises manpower planning, recruitment and selection, performance appraisal and employee relations. The course has five units which explain each topic in every detail. This course  will help us to gain knowledge on how to perform in an organization to achieve its goals and task more effectively and efficiently within the time.

This course covers the nature, scope and importance of personnel management in modern organization and the role of personnel manager in an organization. Here we learn about job analysis, job description, job specification and then job evaluation. The course briefs about recruitment and selection of employees, methods of recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, promotion and transfer, demotion and discharge and the compensation for the employees. It teaches about self-performance appraisal, team performance appraisal, target groups, employee’s benefits and their rewards and recognition and about the incentives and bonus they get after performing well in an organization.
